Mediation is a voluntary process that requires full cooperation and participation of the parties to reach decisions acceptable to each. Mediation is a private and confidential process.

Benefits of Mediation

Unlike a hearing or trial where there is a winner and a loser, mediation facilitates a win-win situation where both parties benefit from a fair and mutually acceptable outcome.

Mediation can lead to settlements that can be inventive, unique and flexible based on the particular facts and circumstances of the case and the parties’ needs.

Allows parties to keep the lines of communication open. Mediation promotes communication and cooperation, which allows the parties to control the decisions that affect their lives.

Money and Time Savings

Mediation is less costly than litigated disputes, saving attorney’s fees and other costs. Unlike court cases, mediation can help resolve disputes quicker, saving the parties time and court appearances.

Both the process and the ultimate outcome are voluntary. The agreement achieved through mediation is one agreed upon and accepted by all parties, not an outcome mandated by a judge or commissioner.

The parties’ discussions are confidential. No evidence of anything said or prepared in the mediation process is admissible in court or subject to discovery.

Mediation allows the parties control of the process, which allows a wider variety of choices and solutions.

Sabrina and/or Loris will give the parties information and guidance throughout the process to ensure that the parties have all of the information they need to make informed decisions about their future.

Loris and Sabrina are passionate about mediation and strive to provide the parties with a better solution than litigation, which is always expensive and never provides the parties the chance to participate in crafting better solutions.
